Learn and read about the inspiration behind a royal wedding and how to really convey a royal sense but in a more modern and realistic way.
So a few days ago, Pantone announced the 2018 color of the year.... Drum roll please......... and it's ULTRA VIOLET! My first thoughts where ultra what-a? I thought to myself that nothing in a wedding should be ultra anything... unless it's ultra lush floral let alone ultra purple! So I sat there for a while and of course, jumped onto Google to start to get a real grasp on this new color for 2018. Although the color is bright and not typically the first color that comes to mind when you think of a wedding but purple does represent luxury, royalty, grandeur and even magic. All adjectives that some brides and/or grooms use to describe what they want their wedding day to be like. Keeping all these adjectives in mind, it seems natural to combine purple with soft touches of gold... I mean, who doesn't love splashes of gold?! Also, to soften the color and still be able to achieve a romantic yet luxurious feel, greenery seems like a natural fit (bringing back Pantone's color of the year for 2017)!
Although my first reaction (and that of several others I'm sure) was GO AWAY PURPLE, I'm glad I took some time and thought about this one. I think it could be a fun challenge and I'm really excited to see how the amazing Las Vegas wedding community finds unique and creative ways to make ultra- violet so ultra-awesome!
